Recently, I needed to comb through many popular Christian and clean romance authors on Amazon for a project, and I couldn't help but notice the wide range of reviews they received on any given book. All of the books were in the category of light, fictional romance, so the material within the covers was for entertainment, not literary criticism. Why, then, were there so many quick strikes and venom in the reviews?
